Not in a Z at our local tracks (like where NASA GL runs).

O. I'm at mid ohio and VIR and summit point. Nelson's and beaver run are slower sure. Of course a newb will take it easy in the kink at like mid ohio but a few laps in you're wot! A Z has plenty to hurt you. Plus I'm doing seat and harness so a main hoop is needed.

Synolimit. My point is, if you want to eventually transform your Z some day into a wheel to wheel car, go ahead and start your roll bar with the CCR spec diameters so it can be built off of later for a full cage. If you wanna save some money and use your guy with smaller tubing and save some weight, have the bar built with what your guy can do and have it designed well so it'll still be plenty safe.

No I understood. I'm just going to buy everything so he can do it. I'll just have someone bend the main hoop since he can't do it and we'll notch and weld all the bars since that takes nothing more than a 1.75" notcher. Wish I could save weight and go smaller but I'm not doing AC, dash, windows etc for a while.
