Well, it is what it is. Got to be better than what I had. I would have loved to gone wider, but on a 8" wheel a 265 is no good and couldn't find a 255. Maybe one day I'll get some true race wheels and I can go wide.

I have RS3s, but for reference I run 43 front 34 rear. I don't know how the sidewall stiffness compares to RE-11s, but I know that RS3s will roll over a lot with anything lower than 40PSI in the front.

2011 Nismo#91, the Hankook Ventus RS3 is a tire.

And something tells me we should all be listening to what stuy486 has to say about driving/setup of the car :

Competed in novice today (26 drivers), finished 2nd. .907 behind (pax). The kid that finished 1st is a really good driver and has a lot of experience (cart, rally cross) and in the previous event I've had been 4-5 seconds (pax) behind him. Except for the event in Birmingham last week were I did not run novice, I've finished 5th (novice) in the previous 2 local events. All the same guys again today and took second.

I felt amazing to have traction and for the car to actually turn and go where I wanted it to. Now I have to learn to stay off the brake and just drive.

Nick does throw that Miata around well, I should have a 370 set up within the next month or so and hopefully be at the Pelham event in September if you want to exchange some setup tips, Pelham is tough now that they sealed it, very slick

I looked back at the pax times for the 5 events I've done. Pax overall standing I had the 45, 48, 64 and 49th place times. After putting on the new RE-11's I was 14th overall pax this past weekend.

I am on RE-11 285/35 sq. It took away all the annoying understeer from the car and made the car very balanced. As for tire pressure, RE-11s are sensitive. I was told to run 37F and 38R (Always 1 psi more in rear) and in certain pavement I have taken out 12 cars and finished 2nd in CStreet. However, that PSI doesn't work in all surface. I recently found out that taking out 2-3 rear psi in another venue (surface), gives me better time in that specific venue. I'm still open to hear what PSI people are running in their RE-11. Ran into a 370Z owner (stock) with RE-11 (245/35 F and 285/35 R). He was running 40 psi F and 38 R . He was able to beat my time by 1s but he is autox-ing for a while now (more experienced than me) . So you kinda get the picture.

I've got 245/40/18 front, 275/35/18 rear and I'm running 45psi front and 33psi rear. These pressures were recommended by a guy that uses them on his G35. After a couple of runs he checked my tire and they were showing just the right amount of roll.

AK and cruz....I typically ran ~38-40F and ~28-30R with my 285/35 square RE-11 setup on the 19" Nismo S-Tunes. It's completely dependent on where the tires are happy...with my 295 Rivals, I'm running 34F and 27R.

Yeah, I facepalmed hard when I saw that they included that particular clip. I asked them not to include that part on the show that aired on TV, which they thankfully didn't. The driver profiles all went up on YouTube prior to the show and at that point it was too late to change it. Of course the people who put the videos together probably had no idea there was anything wrong with that clip...

And I almost never DNF, but on that particular practice day my co-driver had claimed to be able to do that section flat, so of course I had to try it.

Hey guys - check out the video I made of an autocross event a few weeks ago in South Jersey. You may recognize one of the cars also the video of the run is my fastest of the day (I think I ended up 17th out of 80 something cars, for being new this past year I'll take it).
