New Motortrend Article: "2009 Best Drivers Car" features Nismo 370z.

Unfortunately it placed 7/10. Even worse, it's lap times at Laguna Seca were worse than Camaro's and Mustangs. Actually, the only car it beat was the Miata.

boo hoo hoo! Nismo = overpriced faux pas

I mean, at least a Z06 & ZR-1 is noticeably better than a C6, a M3 over a 335I, a Porsche GT3 over a plain vanilla 997 and so forth...But c'mon Nissan, this is pathetic! The Nismo is probably worse than a stock 370, and even after break-in (for the fortunate examples), it's probably marginally better than a stock 370 at best.

They should cease production of the Nismo rice-mobile, it's embarrassing the legendary Z-car status.

I wonder how a 370z sport would have done as compared to the Nismo. It is still undecided whether the Nismo is better than the stock Z. Don't be surprised that the Mustang and Camaro outperformed the Z with Laguna Seca being a track geared toward horsepower.

A sport 370Z probably would have beaten the 135i. As I've said time and again, Nismo has turned into garbage.
