Ran with a stock evo x.

Hey guys,

So i had 4 runs with an Evo X at an airport runway for 30 bux. We ran two 40-120 and two 60-120 runs. I was able to leave an atleast 5 car gap each time - i mean it was so bad that i had to keep asking my friend "y aren't you punching it?!". Those cars stock are just dogs. A monkey with a keyboard could have came up with a better tune than that. Boost cuts off at 5k, horrid a/f, just no power at all after about 4k revs. He's getting a tune as we speak and apparently it'll give him about 40 whp so we shall see after this weekend. I am going to run him again on Monday so i'll keep you guys posted.

Yeah they are slow stock but beware of the tuned ones.....a simple flash will dramatically improve his response throughout the entire rev range even if it only is a 40whp max gain. Should still be close though

Me and a evo IX with bolt ons and a few other mods (tuned) ran on a *ahem* runway ... and we both started cruising at around 80... went to about 120-130... I pulled on him from 80-100 with about a 2 car distance (up from 1 car) and once we passed 100 - every 10mph I would easily gain a car length...

Those cars are awesome upto about 80/90 mph - when I had my X... all my G35 buddies would comment on how slow she felt from 80 up...

shab, i noticed that too - as we go faster, i would pull harder. interesting...

well the evo runs out of breath at high rpm since the turbo is small. Then the higher gears arent really meant for acceleration on the evo, more for cruising.
