Suggested Location for Battery Kill Switch
As the title says. But keep in mind my battery is located in the rear and I'm not worried about any form of spec. I really don't have a solid location with a stripped out car. My battery cable runs along the passenger side so it has to be on that side. I've seen some even run it threw panels to have the switch on the outside. Which I like. And being I have lexan quarter windows and battery located in the rear, what do you guys think of mounting in the middle of the quater window? Really easy to see and get to.

I always make my cut off switches in reach of the driver, there are many reasons that a driver may need to kill power/cycle the power of their racecar. The center of the dash is my first choice normally because it can also be reached from the outside of the car through either window.

Our regs down-under require the isolation switch to be within driver reach. I mount mine on a bracket on the tunnel to the left of the gear lever or in the centre of the dash - remembering I'm seated on the right side of the car because we are strange-dudes down here ... comes from being upside down and all the blood pooling in our heads !!
Our regs also require a cable with a loop-end to the outside to be connected to the switch such that a flag-marshal and/or first intervention vehicle medic can use it to isolate power and this is usually mounted just ahead of the windscreen thru the scuttle and/or up from under the bonnet in the drivers side of the vehicle. I'd say if you are going to do it, might as well do it to NASA/SCCA spec so you don't have to do it again a couple years from now ...
