Cusco RS set up
The last thing i "need" is a diff (base) and I am looking at the Cusco RS. I found this set up guide and I was wondering if this a good track set up. I run street tires too

It keeps blocking the name in the link. It's the motoiq project 370 article on setting up the RS. It's the only information I can find on how to set up this diff for circuit/autoX for this car
|
i think any clutch type diff. would be good for tracking the car. while you're at it you should throw in a 4.08 final drive.
heard good things about the OS Giken OS Giken Grand Touring 370Z Twin Plate Clutch |
I can afford the cusco, new bearings, diff cover and stub axels, not the OS Gilken haha. I like that the cusco can be changed but finding the initial setting is the only hard part.

Try PMing Clintfocus. He's running the Cusco. This is the one I'm thinking of getting too.

Thanks

I use the Cusco RS as well. If you plan to do mainly street/HPDE stuff....keep it at 60% lock.
|
Good to know. Should I also use just six of the springs?
|
Honestly, it comes at 60% and 1.5way out of the box I believe....just leave it as is.
|
What diff fluid are you using with it? I plan on getting the Z1 diff upgrade pack that has the finned cover, white line bushings and it has motul fluid. I am already budgeting for new bearings (36k miles) and I will need new stub axles
|
i have a cusco :D
|
I'm glad Z1 has a package deal with whiteline bushings, Nismo diff cover and fluid. Having all that installed plus the new bearings at the same time. I can't wait to finally get rid of the open diff. It has been my biggest limitation on the track so far. I drove a friends stock sport around the track and noticed the VLSD right away

I have been wanting to do this for a while and finally biting the bullet. Missing all of this season sadly but I will be prepared for next season. Should surprise a few people and hopefully beat that cayman S I always loose too!
