Very nice!

ishthemienguy 08-30-2009 10:57 PM

wow, no upgrades and didn't take off any weight?

chotyme 08-30-2009 11:05 PM

Thanks! I didnt take any weight off and had about a 1/4 tank of gas. I dont have a single mod. I wanted to see my stock times were before i did anything. I'm pretty shocked i did 13.1's.

Not bad at all!

From everything I've seen thus far, the 7AT has been proving to be both quicker and faster than the 6MT as per magazine tests and private owners. Do we have a case of harder launches and tighter gearing making for a faster car, or has no one competent enough taken their 6MT to the track yet?

In any case, I think these cars can definitely break into the 12's bone-stock.

BTW, your 1/8-mile MPH makes absolutely no sense...looks like 23.37. Glitch in the timing-lights perhaps, or are my eyes shot?

Is your car a base auto w/o sport pack?

chotyme 08-30-2009 11:42 PM

yea.

chotyme 08-30-2009 11:43 PM

and yes the 1/8 mph is off....i dont know why.

Again...very interesting. The presumably lowest-performance configuration is so far faster than all the other models. :tiphat:

Did you "manually"(paddle) shift or just floor the throttle in complete auto?

Either way damn good results...

joeyz10 08-31-2009 01:16 AM

I have the same model, 7at, how did you launch your car? any tricks because it's hard to raise the rpm and no clutch to drop...

ZCarMan 08-31-2009 05:40 AM

Impressive!

chotyme 08-31-2009 09:21 AM

I was using the paddles and I break torqued it to about 2000.

You need to submit your time slip to a MOD so they can post it in the correct area and make it official. Impressive time!
