Install rear sway or keep stock?

Since I don't have a garage and time currently, I am going to pay someone to install the sway bars. Do you guys think I should keep the stock rear bar or use the one I got from Hotchikis? My car is stock minus a set of coilovers 14/12k or something around there.

I think it depends. Are you changing the front sway too? If so, to what? Hotchkis?

yah, cant tell you cause not sure how the car handles currently and where/how you drive.

Keep stock bar. Disconnect it occasionally.

Agreed. Stock rear and the biggest front up can put your hands on lol

i use hotchkis front and G37S coupe rear, the rear hotchkis is WAY to stiff even on full soft. I would stick with your stock rear

Being you have good coilovers keeping the stock is perfect. The suspension on the rear needs to be softer on our cars. Then adjust coilovers accordingly.

I run the softest setting on Hotchkis cause I just don't want to swap back to OEM. But I have adjustable end links to take out some of the bind that happens from after market sways and OEM endlinks. The best option is OEM sway but you can make it all work with have great understanding feel of your car and driving habits by adjusting the front to rear. But my car is a totally different beast.

i had adjustable end links with the hotchkis rear, still found it way too stiff. Once i went square wheels/tires, i didnt like both the whiteline and the Hotchkis bar on full soft. I tried the stock rear bar but with my soft V3 rates, the rear was sluggish. The G37S coupe rear bar is slightly stiffer then the OEM 370 rear, but still softer then any of the aftermarket bars out there. this was the balance i liked

That could be my issue now. I have done so much to the car and haven't tested it yet.

once you get the car back on track and tested, if the rear seems uncompliant and edgy with your current bar, try and source that G37S coupe bar, it compliments a big front bar well since its just a touch stiffer then stock but still on the soft side

Pulling this thread back.

Have the Hotchkis bars front and back. The front is planted with the Hotchkis bar and my alignment settings. The rear with with the Hotchkis bar set at full soft. The Z is tail happy.

Had slides yesterday during my trackday. Had one really big that I thought that I wasn't going to be able to come out of.

There was a Mustang that followed me. And he thought that I was trying to drift around the track. LOL

So with what I learned. I'm whiching back to the stock rear bar.
