Lapping Day - HPR, Colorado
Attended a lapping day event at High Plains Raceway yesterday - great weather and good fun. I'm running a 25 row oil cooler, worked perfectly as expected. I installed stainless brake lines and the 'blue' dot 4 fluid beforehand, also worked brilliantly. Stock pads up front finally wore out after this event so I'll be upgrading my rotors and pads.
I think I was having fuel starvation issues (at half a tank) which had never happened before - every time I hit the last right hand corner before the straight I couldn't always rev up in 3rd or I would shift to 4th at red line when it would let me and the car just bogged. Every where else on the track it was fine. I didn't want to pay $9.50 a gallon to fuel up at the track and HPR is in the middle of nowhere so gas was a trek, but it was the end of the day mostly and I had had enough fun. No video this time, I didn't feel like messing with the gopro. http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...r/5B2A9206.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...r/5B2A9191.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...r/5B2A9165.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...r/5B2A9133.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...r/5B2A9127.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...r/5B2A9129.jpg Rare sighting http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...r/5B2A9254.jpg |
