So with 18k Front / 14k Rear you feel a lot better about those? I'm thinking of going up that high also on my next set. Just not sure how higher spring rates will be on my car that is so light as is. But even then our cars have a lot of weight up front as is.

Yeah, it seems to work ok with the current sway bar setup.

They feel loads better than my previous KW V3's... way better. The car just feels so much more nimble.

Next spring I am going to try 18k front and 16k rear though. However, I'll try it without a rear sway bar. The goal is to increase grip on corner exit... there is still a lot of tuning to be done.

Mike_STR, this might have come up, but are you scaling your car?

If you are trying to increase grip on corner exit....going up in rear spring is not going to help. Do you have a rear sway on the car? If so, yank it and toss it away.

I can clearly see making the rear softer for better grip but tossing the sway? Really?

unless U want a super stiff sway bar in the front and stock bar in rear...
Since my rear spring is too stiff right now, I removed rear sway bar helped a lot. Will be swapping springs soon.

Also, I think the OP's car is boarding on too stiff for an ST class car. Compliance isn't a bad thing, in fact it will help overall grip. As an FYI, I run close to the same rates on the BSP car, with the front bar not overly stiff and no rear bar.

I'm guessing your car is also at least 100-200 lbs lighter than his is right now for whatever that's worth.

That's the plan and was in one of my prior posts. The car is pretty neutral now in the corners. I do plan on yanking the rear sway completely but realize that I might have to add spring to keep the car neutral.

These are the same rates that Brian Peters is currently running. I'm not going to argue with the guy that won a national championship in the "wrong car."

However, I'm always open to feedback. You probably have more knowledge when it comes to building a Z for autoX... Than anyone. Keep it coming!

Last I heard, Peters was running 1000/700 with a small rear bar. Also, the east coast lots tend to be lower grip and bumpier than out west. My car is 2910 or so at battle weight.

I believe he said he is currently at 1050-1100 front and 780 rear. No rear away and he softened his front bar to full soft.

I own longacre scales, but haven't put the 370Z on them yet. It will be interesting to see what you come up with.
I've had my Nismo on a truck stop scale with a full tank, and my fat a$$ in it right when I first got it. It came up at just under 3200lbs, I'm curious if that scale was off, or if the Nismo weighs less then a regular 370Z.

Lets get Peters to comment on what he's run....

That was probably off. 3361 was my weight with just the car brand new with a full tank. Add me its 3521. The nismo should be heavier with the wing, extra bars etc. cars down to 3083 now fully fueled. Still another 86+ to go in a seat, rotors, flywheel etc. I'd like to know cross weight as well.

That's very doable
