I'm not sure why the manual has such a dramatic range but the auto keeps more consistant numbers. The auto can usually put down quarter mile times that range from 13.1 to 13.4 seconds. While the manual also shows a dramatic range that stretches between 13.3 to 13.8 seconds.
The auto is substantially and consistantly faster in magazine numbers. My personal experience is the car is very fast in the spring and fall and the car bogs down some in heat over 93ish degrees here in tx. And I'm not talking about limp mode either. Limp mode is much more dramatic and changes engine speed. I guess hot air goes into the cai, it just loses some power, which is normal but the difference is fairly dramatic.

Cooler temperatures with dry road surface will help a car make more efficient power. It's like a giant cold air intake.

I shared this, because founded also so different 0-60 times. Yes, manual depends on driver more, than automatic, but there are also different times shared by Nissan. :shakes head:

In Europe is only version with LSD. Version without might be slower and 19" could change times, but so big difference is still strange to me :rofl2:

The driver variable.

You just floor it and go with the 7AT, so it's going to be pretty consistent assuming similar conditions (weather and road). Throw a driver into the mix with a 6MT and you're bound to get a wider range.

:iagree: and ive also never seen the 370z listed for a 0-60 over 5.0...

wow, 0-60 just over 4.0 seconds. Pretty amazing if u ask me. Hopefully it wasnt a downhill

With bolt ons a 4.08 gears at the drag strip my 7 AT does the 1/8 in 8.0 @ 88.8 miles per hour.
My 0 to 60 has to be in the low 4's
60ft times 1.854.
its increadable quick/12.42 @ 114.3 in the 1/4 mile

What do you guys think the best a 370z would be able to do 0-60 if it was to have around 500whp with race slicks or some re11. I think the car wouldn't have a problem with the power but this car would be limited by not having enough weight over the rear wheels to gain traction.

I'm guessing very fast. Maybe the TT guys can chime in.

from what I have seen and heard the TT guys are having problems getting the power to the ground and looking at the numbers the superchargers are getting just as good times or even better times with the same driver. From a dead start less is sometimes better. I think the only way we are going to see a true number from anyone is to have launch control installed. If I am not mistaken GTM is working on something or already has something out that helps in this area.

When I got my car tuned they asked if I wanted a launch control map. Still wondering why I declined.

One way to do it is with an EBC to optimize max boost for each gear depending on the tire setup. With my street tires, I don't see the need for boost greater than 6 PSI for 1st gear. Maybe increase target boost sooner for the latter gears?

Uprev comes with a launch control map? How does that work? Definitely sounds like something I'd be interested whenever I get Uprev tuned.
