Started my install today. Taking a break right now in 4 hours I've gotten to the point where I'm hooking up the In tank lines to the fuel pump assembly. I'm also doing my return system at the same time. I already had my 340 installed so I have some knowledge of how things go in there. Ended up leaving the 340 in there since I changed the connector and can't go back to the stock pump.

I know your feelings...
What part exactly are you finding blocking on? Did you use some strings to be able to pull the lines easily? Envoyé de mon Nexus 5 en utilisant Tapatalk |

I was able to pull the lines up, the hard part is getting them to slip onto the barbs. definitely would be nice if you could run QDs on there. Thinking about removing the rest of the plastics tomorrow. I don't want to imagine what would happen if I needed to get in there again.

I had to plum them one by one after putting the OEM fuel pump in place. Hence the need for strings to pull the lines (idea by rusty ^^)
I used a another string going through the OEM pump and used the big aluminium bar of the z to hang the pump a few inches high. Envoyé de mon Nexus 5 en utilisant Tapatalk |

Used the wrong lube to slide the hose over the barbbed fitting. The lube started to deteriorate the hose end. I used the same stuff I use at work for doing hydraulic hoses there. Best to use a little bit of motor oil.

Ah yeah been using motor oil. After struggling with it for 8 hours I'm calling it a loss. Just gonna do my return kit and use the stock system with the 340lph. Leaving all the hoses and the surge tank in place since I've already converted the connectors. For the drivers side. Gonna find a shop in So. California to do it.

Just got it in, and I must say, the quality looks outstanding! While I'm sure that I can get it installed myself, I'm too backed up with other projects. Anyone have a guestimate on how many labor hours a shop should charge for this, or how many labor hours beyond that required by a standard fuel pump? Sorry if this has already been answered, just didn't see it.

I would guess 8-10 hours if they haven't done one before. It took me about 8, but I have no interior to worry about, so that saved some time.

Unfortunately I don't have time on my side. I have to get my OS LSD and get re-tuned before this Friday before driving her down to California. I'd say Mike is right for install time if you have the hands to connect the hoses.

Took me 4 hours and some change. I thought it was pretty easy to do. Then again I used to work on watercraft.

Took my time and did it in 2 days. About 4~5 hrs each day. Hey, IF I can get my big mitts in there and connect the hoses. Anyone can. Remember, I'm 6'2", 220, with a hip replacement, 2 bad knees, and a bum foot. I don't bend like I used too.
