MINOR UPDATE:

This probably isnt the update that some of you are hoping for, but its something.

We are building a small batch of 6 of the *Gen 1* RRP right now.

Why the Gen 1? A few reasons. I am backlogged on machine work right now, putting in insane hours at the shop. Involved in many projects. I am giving my VHR/HR intake manifold the priority in new/advanced product R&D for now. There is more demand for it, and it will be more important to my business to complete it.

We have some insane demand right now for some RRPs. I dont mean volume demand, but I have a few individuals that are ON ME about it and they want something. Right now it makes more sense to take care of up to 6 people with a KNOWN WORKING PRODUCT than to rush out the version 2 design when I am not yet 100% confident in it, and when it will take away from other important tasks on the table.

The RRP is not a big volume product for us. I originally made it because I wanted to tackle the challenge and because I was the right man for the job as a dedicated fuel system builder for the Z33/Z34. But I have to be wise about how much time I invest in obsessing over a problem I already solved. The RRP v2 is going to be a bit of a hurdle to get setup for production, and at this exact moment I cannot risk focusing production on it and then running into a possible problem when they get into customer hands.

RRP v2 will still happen, but its getting pushed back deeper into 2015.

As for RRP v1... there has been a couple minor updates. The last few kits started shipping with Nylon in-tank hoses. They are cheaper to make, lighter weight, but ridiculously harder to assemble than they look like they should be. Rusty tried the first set but I assembled them the wrong direction so he tossed them. I will have to touch base with the other few guys that got them after that and make sure everything worked out in the end (I can only assume or I would have heard back).

If you want to get on the list for the 6 RRP v1s about to get produced, please post up. We can make more if we need to, but 6 was the magic number just because we had 6 leftover fuel level sensor brackets for it from the last batch.

I was wondering about V2. Since I've haven't had a up-date on it.

Ya just no time for the thing right now... too many projects at once, and that one is technically unnecessary since the v1 already has it under control. The v2 will be a pretty big project if I decided to build it with the filter and regulator already in there, but if I dont, then custom plumbing and return kit will be needed... and at that point many people are going to just want the v1 anyway.

^^would like to hear feedback on this. I'm willing to pay extra to have it made how they all originally have been made. I simply need the fuel starvation fixed.

You know you can count me in!!

Ya we can send yours with the original AQP hose if you prefer that. The Nylon is better suited for in-tank use, but the AQP is generally problem free. I think only one person has had an issue with it.

Damn. Now I have to decide if I should wait for v2 now that you're taking orders on v1 again. I won't need a solution until probably the end of summer.

Phunk, based on how you envision v2 will it be a much easier and "cleaner" install?

Its too far off to say at this point, since I have several sub-versions of it. It really depends on which one I decided to finish up and construct. If it doesnt have a filter or regulator built in, it will be a lot more to install than the v1 RRP since it will involve replacing the fuel lines under the car and in the engine bay. But the install will be more what people are used to since it will involve activities that are right there within line of sight.

If you are 100% sure you will need one of our fuel starvation fixes, and the basic 255lph pump setup is enough for your power needs for the next year or two or three.... I would highly recommend jumping on the v1 right away. While its still in my intentions to finish v2... it is always at some risk of never seeing the light of day simply because its a redundant product with little advantage over the existing model. The best excuse I have to build it, is just because I want to for the sake of creating a superior fuel sending unit to any one I have seen. Its like a pride-fueled project for me. So it will likely always be on the back-burner to other projects.

How far on power can we go on V1 if boosted?

It uses a 255lph fuel pump, which can max out anywhere from 450-650rwhp depending on fuel, tuning, and power adder parasitic losses. After that, you would have to add a second pump inside it, which can carry you to 800-1200hp depending the same variables, along with fuel system plumbing.

Parts are being cut. Bottom plates already done. There are 9 started but at least 2, maybe 3, will be going towards custom 350z versions.

OK so far the list is:

1: Spec Jay - In
2: 1cleanZ - Probably In
3: AnthonyD1978 - Maybe In
4: tracyx`9 - In
5: L.L. from FaceBook - In

So we have 1 or 2 slots left.

Please keep me up to date guys. If anyone decides they changed their mind and doesnt want it... no worries at ALL you are not committed or obligated to purchase at this point. The batch is small enough that I am not going to take deposits, if anyone wants out before its ready to ship, just say so. No hard feelings!!! This purpose of this list is just to reserve your spot, its not for me at all.
