Spohn just asked me to machine a billet diff cover. I could machine that rather quickly but I am curious if anyone else has interest in that. We could add a little bit of cooling fins, structural rigidity, and added capacity (perhaps .5 quart). Does something like this interest anyone else?

I could put any ports for fittings or sensors anywhere you guys want!

Drain
Fill/Level
Temp Port
Separate Fill from Drain? Probably ideal for those who run coolers.

Do you guys jack up your car from the diff? I know I do. But when I had the Nismo cover, I would just put the jack in front of the fins and lift from the iron only.

I used to, but don't have the clearance any more lol.

But yes seperate fill/drain and an extra port for temp would be ideal.

Excellent. We are going to pull the cover off the 350 tomorrow. I will leave the cover on the 370 to reference clearance/space to go larger and add ports.

I would say the fins get in the way more than anything and most people getting this would be getting a diff cooler anyways.

I can't go crazy on the fins because it's a billet part. A cutter has to be able to fit inbetween and ideally still have air on one side to get a nice finish. Real small cutters would add tons of machine time and/or lower finish quality. So the quantity of fins would be lower than a cast part. I will post up drawings and see what you guys think before I cut.

Yeah I'd just shoot for capacity and 4x ports set up for drain, fill/level, and cooler lines. People running coolers will probably have the temp sensor in the cooling lines/system anyways.

With the new CNC here that dedicated for just auto parts... its never going to stop now! I think I am finally done purchasing most of the new tooling for it (aside from little per-project needs). I have several hundreds of pounds of aluminum showing up here Friday. That is only the start! I am making my list and checking it twice and I will be ordering damn near a truck load of material here! Let the billet goodness flow.

You guys are going to love (or hate) when I start getting deeper into my engine build and bay cleanup
