Default CJM Fuel Starvation Control Product, Round 2

It's time again to start on a second batch. The last few weeks I have had increased interest in the product, and I feel I should get a start on the next batch.

Here is how I would *prefer* to do this (also open to suggestions): $150 deposit to lock in. $1000 due at shipping (free shipping in the 48 states). I will hold reserved units up to one year for any buyers who may need to wait to make the full purchase but want to lock in a unit for their next race season. This pricing is for 255lph output. For boosted applications that exceed this in fuel requirements, there are additional upgrades needed and a custom order has to be configured.

There is room for a group discount if the quantity exceeds my expectations. That will be an open and transparent discussion if we end up with more people than expected signing up. I am expecting 5-12. Past that I might be able to twist some arms.. But please understand that quantities under 50 generally make a machine shop cringe or turn a customer away... So any discounts will come directly out of CJM's margin.

I would like to do a sign-up list for the rest of August while I prepare. It will take me some time to reestablish contact with people who asked me to notify them of the next run via email and find out if they are still in the market.

September 1st-6th I would like to accept deposits, and set the production number. I will make a small handful of extra units for late sign-ups. Say 10 people deposit, I will probably make 15. So, there is definitely benefit to signing up before the deadline. If I know how things work in this industry, whatever extra units will sit and sit and then once people realize they are the last available ones in existence they will go *poof*.

Here is the part you guys won't like. I am requesting 12 weeks to complete production. This means pushing into December. I hope to beat that by 50%... But with all the changes around here lately I hate to try and make premature predictions. The larger the batch, the easier it will be to push it through quickly. Regardless, I will keep everyone updated with photos every step of the way.

For any of you who have enjoyed this product from the last batch, I would appreciate a sentence or two of your experience with the transaction and/or product. If not, I will go into the old thread and copy/paste your old posts

Tomorrow I will try and get some product details in this post for those unfamiliar with the last batch.

Thanks!

Last note: if I am unable to get 6 sign-ups, deposits will be refunded.

I've got nothing but good things to say about the kit and phunk. The kit works. I've run my tank down to one light on the fuel gauge twice now during trackdays with no problems. And for phunk. He's one of those rare people you meet every now and then. Eleven o'clock at night. He's answering my text. Can't beat that. Sounds like I'm a fanboy. You're right. I am.

I really liked mine from the first batch, too. Top-notch seller/shop, good support, works as advertised!

I was at a point where I could starve the car on my favorite track with just 3 dots blacked out at the top of the gauge. So I'd usually fill up after every session, maybe sometimes I'd get risky and fill up every other session if the track/direction didn't involve a long right-hand sweeper. Now I just fill the car in the morning and run all day. I've finished up my final sessions south of the 1/4 tank mark multiple times now and never had an issue.

Saves time not re-fueling between sessions/classes, saves worrying about the starvation on-track if you didn't have time to top up after a session, etc.

Also, a gallon of gas weighs about 6 lbs. Our tank holds about 19 gallons, so full fuel load is 114 lbs. So that's 57 lbs gone from the car if you start your runs at 1/2 tank instead of full, or 86 lbs gone from the car if you start at 1/4 (which is doable for a 20-minute HPDE session, but any longer and you might actually run out of fuel).

It would be so interesting to have a flow sensor on the line between the OEM fuel pump and the surge canister. We know how frequently it was starving in the stock configuration.. but we have no real data as to how well our product's secondary function (of supplying extra fuel back to the stock pump) is working. The goal of that secondary function being; to help aid the stock pump from running dry and self destructing. Of course, the OEM pump will starve more as the tank level is lower. That window should be reduced by the secondary function.. but how much?

It appears we have made it through this season. But I am very curious how long you guys will be able to go before the OEM fuel pump needs replacing.

Most important thing here is Phunk him self. Great guy. Always giving time to answer my questions. This product works flawless for myself at the track and soon (hopefully ) on my TT kit.

anyone who purchases this will not regret it. It is the BEST mod on my car. Its so nice not to worry about fuel starve anymore. The stock fuel pump setup is a fundamental flaw in this car, and this is the only solidly engineered solution.
