PDX SCCA Track Driving Safety??

I haven't done this yet, but this weekend it's happening near Houston. I seems to me, with instructors and limited passing, this is safer than driving the freeway at 7:00

Default PDX SCCA Track Driving Safety??

I haven't done this yet, but this weekend it's happening near Houston. I seems to me, with instructors and limited passing, this is safer than driving the freeway at 7:00 am on a work day. So, I think I will pass on the additional insurance for a one day track time of $225.00. ???????
thanks

Just know that your regular car insurance may not cover you in the event that something happens.

lockton offers hpde insurance for the pdx at msr, if it's your first venture might not be a bad investment. they only do passing in 3 or 4 spots on that track and only with a point by. Just make sure and stay on your line when pointing someone by. you will have an instructor in the car with you. It's a nice program and i was supposed to be out there for club trials this weekend but have to move instead, u guys have fun!

Insurance is by definition a for-profit business. Statistically it is a waste of money.

Man, I had such a blast on the inside track at Daytona in my base 370z. I was doing great until the oil temps would start to get my car into limp home mode. It would cool down for the next race and I would be zooming around doing great and poof: limp home mode. Moral to my story is an oil cooler makes it more fun
