Terrible Day at the dragstrip
 

I was really excited to go to the track this weekend and watch some racing at Orlando Speedworld. My weekend instead went as follows.

Saturday night racing was rained out.
Stayed in a crappy Ramada Inn for the night.
Sunday morning get to the track, get tech'd in, wait in staging lane for an hour, about to start racing and then it rains.
Leave for an hour. Come back and make 1 pass.
14.0 @ 101.5 terrible
Go to get my slip and the 60' says 0.000 :-|
Leave to go to work.


It was a hott day at the track. Even the GTR that ALWAYS runs 10.5's was only doing 11.2 Thought I would share my crap weekend with everyone. Hope yours was a lot better.

Sucks but hey, did you die? Last time I went to the track I blew up my motor in my sti. Could always be worse lol.

Rain can suck but not at a road course. Keep racing there. That's what I love. But it happens. Go to the bar drink a little have fun elsewhere. Always have a story to tell when you come back from going out of town. :tup: Better luck next time.

Well thankfully my car did come back fully intact. I will be waiting for it to cool off a bit and then try again.

Last time i went to the strip an sti kicked a rock through my windshield. It was then i realiezed the Z was not ment for drag racing.

I hope it was on the HWY coming home. Shouldn't be any rocks on the track. They did a poor job sweeping and blowing down the track if that happened. Either way I would be pissed....
