To those of you who are running KW V3 in track

What kind of settings are you using ?

Stiffness? Rebound?

The local track is a tight corner-based track and my car was understeering like crazy.

Any suggestion?

My sway bar is set up to stiffest front and softest rear.

We don't run KWs but just wanted to chime in.
There are so many variables here that need to be looked at : spring rates, tire sizes, what tires , tire pressure, and alignment settings?
Next is where is the car understeering in the corner ( turn in, corner entry , mid corner, corner exit)
Just tryin to help as shock settings are a more of a fine detail and it sounds like something larger.

255/40/19 and 285/35/19

Tires were RE-11

Tire pressure was around 32 when warm

Alignment settings not aggressive. Can't really remember

The car understeers during mid corner (corner entry too fast?)

Thanks in advance !

I'd say for a start your tire pressures are too low for those tires. Shoot for around 37-38 front, 34-35 rear HOT. Measure/adjust the pressures after coming off track in the first session and you should be at a good place for the next session. Probably around 30 cold is a good starting place.

Try revising your driving technique a little, slow down the entry slightly and then squeezing on the power at or just before the apex and see if that helps.

Agreed.
Just as an FYI... Last year during testing at Watkins Glenn ..going up 2 lbs on front tire pressure netted -1.75 seconds on the watch.
Most DoT track tires ... Need the sidewall support ... Espc if front roll stiffness isn't strong enough to support it ... And if your camber isn't optimized.
The sidewall when to low is the first thing to go once loaded ... And then you have nothing to lean on.
