My only concern with Hoosiers is that you probably need more seat time with street tires before you can take full advantage of a set of race slicks. Most of those guys auto-x with us in Hawaii region have been doing it for decades. Heck, I want to say there are at least 5-8 National Championship drivers in the field. My point is they make it look easy on slicks. Learning on street tires for 1-2 season will work out any bad habits and make you much faster (1-2 seconds) on slicks. |

I have contemplated staying on Sunday for a few sessions if I can keep the GF entertained long enough. It's a long drive for just one day. If I stay there I'll look for you, otherwise have fun and be safe. No questions probably until I get a feel for the track but definitely have watched your video about 20 times already to try to memorize the turns!

Yeah, I get what you are saying, but isn't the post market setup also going to be tougher to bottom out with just because it is a stiffer system that is harder to compress?

Did Button Willow today-was very hot and slick, bad traction. Didn't push too hard since it was my first time and am still a beginner level driver, but was able to put in a 2:25-which isn't great but was middle of the beginners group and I consistently got faster all day. Except for the main straight aways I stayed around 90% throttle most of the time since I don't totally have everything memorized yet. I think once I am a bit more comfortable I should have no problem dropping into the 2:15-2:20 range once I am not afraid to open up on "Riverside" and the "Dragstrip". "Club corner" kinda spooks me and I know I can take it faster, but it's a mental game on that one. Bus stop no problem except for one time I sort of forgot that it existed and went straight off lol. Couldn't stay because I have to work out of town monday so figured it best to come back tonight. Good luck out there tomorrow Clint-stay hydrated!

Not going to a formal classroom/racing class or school, but we do 1 hour of driver education before every event. Also, I get all day instruction every time I go. I probably will stick with all day instruction for a while until I get a lot more experience-like probably well into next season.
