A 13.4 @ 105 mph when it was like 100 degrees outside. Left early and didn't run when it got cooler at night. It was still better than 2 Camaro SS's that were there.

Stage2 TT is in talks with the wife. I've got disposable income in Sepetember and it'll be enough for the kit, so maybe Octoberish....?

Oh ok I thought I read Drag radials. In that case with a few more passes you should be able to get at least a low 1.7 or high 1.6 60' on your slicks. I know I couldnt get better than a 1.8 on my drag radials then I switched to slicks and pulled a 1.6 and knocked .5 tenths off of my time. Plus your making almost 200 HP more than me so it should be easy for you.

^^^ Not so. I'll bet you have a manual transmission and clutch, where you can launch as hard as you want.
If you watched my vids closely I simply CAN'T leave harder. The auto and torque converter regulates the launch. Full-out racing slicks would help IF I still had traction problems, which I don't. A higher stall speed would reduce 60' time, and at that point it may go beyond the needs of the BF Goodrich D/R, but I've already went one step further than stock. I'm going to go back soon. We are going to install a new exhaust and I'd like to retest in cooler weather. Possibly a new tune. Thanks! Coop

What rpm can you hold it befoe you launch. I can hold mine around 1900rpm before the tire stgart to move on the line and i cut 1.85 60 ft times.

Im an auto just like you. My stall is set to 3200 and stock it was 2200. I've run on drag radials, street tires and Slicks. On drag radials my best 60' was a low 1.8, on street tires a high 1.8 and on slicks 1.64. I've been racing autos for a while just figured I'd give you a few tips. Im not sure where your turbo spools at so that may play a part in it too. I'd estimate when I launch Im around 350tq or so. Of course a higher stall would help your 60's it just seems like you should be able to get better ones with your HP level. I run nitrous btw.

Just to clarify something, for autos when you lauch, you put your foot on the brake and then push the gas until you get up to whatever rpm you want to launch at. After that you let go of the brake and floor it, correct? This is what I've been doing the whole time, but the guy at Capitol Raceway told me I can't spin my tires at the line. I got kind of confused by that so I thought I might have been trying to launch too hard.

Can anyone please explain This to me!?!?!?!? Jets sizes are .24"Fuel and .43"no2" and yes I tap my factory fuel rail. I should be running at least 7.5ish. |

Thanks guys. We're all on the same page.
Yes, my technique is the same: brake on hard, throttle up, release, leave and floor it. With the turbos the HP level has somewhat of a mind of its own. The hp and torque aren't directly related to foot pressure as it starts to build boost. So, you have to be careful to NOT get to the point of spinning at the line (or pushing you forward). Each car has a bit different personality, but I'm certainly aware that my best 60' (1.86") is still sleepy. (Best street tire 2.09", best OEM torque converter: 2.05"). After this exhaust switch (soon) I"ll return. Keep at it. I like this thread. Coop
