Volk CE28N with AP Racing 6-Piston BBK clearance?
Hi guys, I've been reading from the forum regarding Wheels and BBK clearance, and I am getting a lot of mixed answers.
I am about to head out to get my 18x9.5/18x10.5 with offset +22/+18. I am also getting this AP Racing 6-Piston BBK from Stillen. I've tried but failed to getting any info on the clearance with Stillen. Does any have any information on this setup? Thanks in advance. Ben. |
You're really not going to know until you try. I have stoptech trophy BBK with 380mm front rotors, with 18x9.5 +15. I have about 1mm of clearance between the rim and caliper, and thats with a racing rim, Enkei PF01. Rears will clear no problem. But its going to be a hit or miss with the fronts. Just note if it DOES clear, it will only clear by a hair on your nut sack. lol

I honestly would do +28 or +34. The less concave face is going to give you more caliper clearance if you want to play it safe. I know the Weds TC105n's +35 clears BBK's no problem at but the +10 is too concave and will hit BBK's which is why I went +35. I am still deciding if I want to buy another pair of 18x9.5 +35 so I can do a square setup for track days.

?? Actually the more concave the more it clears....Thats the point of concave rims

Depends on rim style i guess. Like I said, I was told by multiple sellers that the +10 offset would not clear the oem bbk on front cause of the concave of the wheel. +35 offset is flat faced and clears with more then enough room for even an 8pot setup without a spacer. |
an 8 pot set up will not clear an 18inch rim no matter what offset or style you go with
