Hoosier A6 295/40-18 closeout
They had 130 of them left yesterday when I talked to them.
They are 120 per tire, and a flat rate of 15 shipping per order. I got 12 of them. https://www.hoosiertire.com/discontinuedtires.htm |
In for 4. Will do 8 if I can hide it from wife
Damn. Wish my 18" wheels were 10.5".
Found the specs with the wayback machine.... 10-12" rim recommended. What's the worst that could happen on a 1/2 inch smaller than recommended wheel? :P Ordered a set. http://web.archive.org/web/201207231...com/specrr.htm |
Will these work in the front without doing anything other than adding a new front wheel?

I haven't had trouble with my 295/35R19s.
I have run this size in the past on my 9.5 +46 wheels. They work fine on a smaller rim, and they also fit in front, with a 5mm spacer on my car, so that would make my wheel effectively 9.5 +41, which just clears the inner a-arm.
yeah for cheap R-comps. Probably getting a set myself.
Edit: just bought a set |
Too bad I'm in Hawaii...... Price is still a steal but I wonder how much shipping would be.....
FYI Tirerack shows they have 2 295 40 18 R6 for sale still @ $125. I bought them last night, but not sure if they will get more
Ordered!
Can't pass this up! Just bought 8 of them from Hoosier ! Don't understand why they charged me tax considering I am in Ohio and they are in Indiana.
Me too. When did you order the tires?
tuesday night
Damn you got it fast
Mine shipped today. Wish I had ordered 3 sets too.
Spent 1400 so far, still don't have 18 rims!
18" rims
I bought 2 sets and still don't have 18" wheel's either! What rims are you looking at? I am looking at the forgestar f14's but they are 6 to eight weeks out! I'm taking Mike's advice and looking at 18x10 with + 34 offset. Are there any rims for our cars that clear big brakes and have this offset in a standard stocked rim that does not cost an arm and a leg? Let me know, Thanks, Ken
How much are the Forged star? I am looking at Konig Milligram ($850) or TSW ($950). The Konig is 35mm and 9.5" and the TSW is 9.5" with 40mm offset. The Milligram is about 20lbs and the Nurburgring is around the same. THey have something called TSW Max, but it is close to 27-29lbs range.
I want something in the $500-600 range, new or used. Arggg. My spring collection is current 4 A6 in 18s 2 R6 in 18s 4 Pirelli Corsa in 19s 4 Pirelli Trofeo in 19s And now I need to figure out what to do with rims, my tax refund better come back soon |
I just found out I need to pay 6000 in taxes. My forge stars were 1200 two years ago. My 9.5s are 4 rear 350z rays that I had widened. Total cost was all about 1200

BTW Mike, thanks once again for the find. Love the deal, but hate it at the same time given how much I have spent. http://imageshack.us/a/img401/456/dsc5812.jpg It's either this or this http://www.discounttiredirect.com/pr...mil.gum.xl.jpg I have two 18x10.5 TSW Nurburgring is anyone is interested :) |

Too late now, just bought 4 18x9.5 TSW Nurburgring except I freaking ordered it in the wrong color. ARGGG

hmmm I like the TSW Nurburgring... I wonder if those are heavy enough for SpecZ. (and if i can cram these tires on a 9" wheel)
They feel like they are around 19lbs.
Has anyone use them yet? While I was breaking them in, I notice the tire is too tall and it might be rubbing on the fender liner tabs. Anyone else has the same problem? I am on 18x9.5 with 40mm offset. I was testing it at full lock, perhaps this only happens at full lock?
i ran them on my 18x9.5 +46 with a 5mm spacer which made them +41 and there was no rubbing. Also, I ran the new ones on my 18x10+34s with no rubbing either.
I am also running 3 degrees negative camber. |
I am on stock camber, maybe that's why. #$%^&*
well, you shouldn't be at full lock on the track, so you should be fine.
I just hope it is that. It is hitting that little knob at the front of the fender. I also see a little rub mark on the lock tabs on the upper edge
Used them today. They definitely rub a little on the fender tabs, but it shouldn't be too bad. I just try not to go full lock even when moving around
Damnit. I missed this!
I want some for the stock 19's |
Does anyone have a pair of these they want to sell? Have cash in SoCal!
