Default Which SCCA Class Can I run - Stillen CBE

So I'm looking at running an SCCA Event and I'm wondering what class I should be registered. The only modification I've made (so far) is a Stillen CBE and I'm not sure if the exhaust change is enough to bump me out of CS (probabaly is since it's not stock).

If it is bumped out of CS, what does it get bumped to? Also, how in the world would I have found this on my own? The SCCA classes seem pretty complicated...

Got it, thanks! I think I finally found the rule about this in section 13.10.E.

Now, how about when I want to replace my intake this summer? I'm looking to replace to the Stillen cold air intake which doesn't match the stock requirements per section 13.10.J. Does that mean I would get pushed to Street Prepared?

Does that mean I would get pushed to CSP?

Default scca class!

The 370 for all I know does not meet any of the requirements for any street touring class at this time. The only classes a 370 can be in is CS or ASP.

The 370Z is currently classed in STR. Keep in mind the max wheel and tire combo for that class is 9" 255mm. Intake will bump you to ASP.

The 370z gets bumped to ASP not CSP and yes, any alteration to the factory air boxes moves you into street prepped. I believe you can use the maf tubes and change the filters and still stay in CS though. Changing cats or both sway bars or lowering/performance springs will also move you into ASP.

I ran ASP last season (2013) with CBE, Cat delete, NISMO wheels (on a base stock) and 305 street tires in the rear, and CAI. I have since added coilovers to the suspension. I am guessing I can stay ASP this year as well.. considering I am up against a veteran Cayman S and a couple other wonderful competitors. I think I need to start using race compounds instead of street tires in order to even be close to them. We shall see.

IIRC Coilovers are allowed in ASP, you just can't use true type coilovers in the rear.

SCCA rules are flippin stupid. If you don't base everything you do to the car to dance around their regs, you're screwed. 'swhy i don't bother with SCCA events. Plenty of other autocross clubs out there that aren't going to make you compete against trailer queen race cars in your nearly stock daily driver just because of the style of coilover you picked.

It's the only championship that carries any weight in autocross, so I run there.

If you're in it to actually compete and "win" then yes, it's the only real choice.

If you're in it to have fun, it's the worst choice.
