Default Talladega road course........

Well, my bunch I hang out with rented the Talladega Gran Prix course for the whole day last Friday. ( This is a road course, not the round-and-round)

I flogged the car all day long, six sessions on the track at full blast.

Had 1100 miles on it, still fairly new.

No problems, oil temp was good all day, brake fluid hot but not boiling.
Clutch is fine. Used mainly 3rd and 4th. 110 mph down the back straight, just hitting the rev limiter before a sharp left-hander.

The car behaved beautifully, actually astounded me. I have done this many times before with many different cars I've owned, but this had me smiling.

The front rotors are trashed. They are scored very badly, and will need replacement.

Looking forward to next time!

Default

I can't run there anymore with mine. It was the first track day I did with the car and I ran a set of Hawk HP+ pads down to the backing plate, ruined the rotors and boiled the fluid in one 20 minute session. Its just too brake intensive for my car.

I love the track though
