Like everyone else has already said. You have WAY more than enough tire for a couple more track days. Based on the consistency of the rubber, doesnt look like you

Like everyone else has already said. You have WAY more than enough tire for a couple more track days. Based on the consistency of the rubber, doesnt look like you push your tires too hard anyway. In fact most performance tires, when you buy them, ask if you want them shaved all the way down to no tread before you buy them brand new!

I dont see a problem. He's got more tread than slicks.

Thanks for all the replies...I just want to make sure it's the rears we're talking about. I posted pics of my fronts as well. I think my front can use at least 1-2 track days.
As for these set of tires, it was only last 2 track days I had -2.8 degree camber in front and -1.8 degree camber in rear. |

You might be a few tenths slower, but you are in no danger as long as they aren't corded. My tires are in way rougher shape than yours.
These tires might be faster shaved brand new, but they are not faster getting worn down to the bottom. It's the reason why I made the switch in September to a different set even though my old RE-11 were only down to the wearbars. |

It is fine to ride them till they cord, just remember if u tracked through that tire and have that low of thread, ur have heat cycled them out... I have rs3 that are heat cycled out that looked very good on the outside but once u track them you are all over the place!!
Just practice more car control with worn down tires, let the back end slide out, give it gas, hold a bit of a small drift etc... counter it blah blah. That's what gets me faster at the track when learning better car control!! |

Martin what's that old-tire renewal stuff you got for the Yokos you bought used? My RE11's have more tread than this but they slip and scream on-track.. and at WOT.. didn't used to be like that.
