The 3rd round of the season took place at Big willow on April 20th!
We had about 14 or 15 cars show up for the Nissan competition that day! This is one of the best turnouts of the season! Street Class results: 1st Martin Choi(370z) 1:33.824 2nd Brandon Mendoza(350z) 1:38.204 3rd Steve Rice(370z) 1:38.551 4th David Cooper(350z) 1:48.000 5th Adam Sakowicz(G35 coupe) 1:53.845 6th Greg Seeman(370z) 2:01.885 Modified class results: 1st Will Watanna(240sx-sr20) 1:32.557 2nd Len Novak(350z) 1:33.796 3rd Chris Willard(350z) 1:34.716 4th Brian Hendrick(350z) 1:36.455 5th Ian Domingo(350z) 1:45.072 We had some super close battles for this round of the Nissan competition presented by Corner3 Garage and Extreme speed! In street class the battle for 2nd place put Brandon Mendoza in the lead with only 3 tenths of a second! This is definitely the type of competition we want to be seeing! Our modified class had the top 3 within a 2 second window of each other! All drivers pushed to the limits and were able to get faster times in the middle and late parts of the day when the track was much hotter than optimal! Current Championship points rankings: Street Class rankings: 1st Martin Choi(370z) 20pts 2nd Brandon Mendoza(350z) 18pts 3rd Greg Seeman(370z) 9pts 3rd Adam Sakowicz (G35 coupe) 9pts 4th Michael Gamboa Jr.(240sx) 8pts 4th Leo Barana(370z nismo) 8pts 5th Jonathan Kim (370z) 6pts 5th Steve Rice(370z) 6pts 6th David Cooper(350z) 5pts Modified class rankings: 1st Will Watanna(240sx-sr20) 30pts 2nd Len Novak(350z) 16pts 3rd Ian Domingo(350z) 15pts 4th Chris Willard(350z) 14pts 5th Erik Tarui(350z) 6pts 6th Brian Hendricks 5pts Street class is going to be very interesting this year with the 3 ties for 3rd, 4th and 5th!
