I use this same mounting spot for my GoPro, did you use the open backplate as well? I have to remember to use the closed backplate cause you get so much wind noise. :shakes head:

clintfocus 01-04-2013 07:31 AM

No i used the closed back plate and it was still this noisy

So much for that idea... :shakes head: And the Original GoPro doesn't offer an external mic. Kind of a mute point now that we're 2 generations later in development, but with those they should have changed the info on the cam where it said <100mph use open plate, 100mph+ use closed plate..

I used the open plate on canyon runs of <60mph and it sounds very close to that.. Oh well.

Good video though. The RSX your friends car correct?

clintfocus 01-04-2013 09:00 AM

The rsx is owned by the shop that sponsors my friends Civic si time attack car. His car was getting work done at the time

Good driving. Looks like a fun track. I kept waiting for the fuel starve on that long right hander :)

clintfocus 01-04-2013 10:33 AM

No fuel starve, topped off before every session :)

With just breather mods that K24 gained over 100hp. I am assuming though it has a k20 head? He does have a full 1k lbs less than you though. Is that a typo or are you really putting down 370whp without any FI?

not only does the RSX have a K20 head, k24 bottom end motor, but the whole rotating assemble is upgraded with aftermakret rods and higher compression pistons. Also the head internals are not stock, aftermarket cams and valve train. Also the final drive ratio is shorter, the car accelrates dead even with my Z

i specified that the horsepower figure is from the dynapack dyno at church automotive, Dynapack's in general read higher then dyno jets. i just used my dynapack hp figure in the description because the RSX has a hp figure from the same dynapack at church but does not have a dynojet figure. So i used the dynapack figure for fair comparision. my dynojet power output is 330whp, which is right along where it should be with my mods on a 370 on a dynojet inertia dyno.
