1) fallen to pieces yet, and 2) become saturated with road grime and lost a lot of it's insulating properties Personal experience is that the carbotech XP series pads are overly aggressive for autox. Used them for awhile (xp10/8 combo) but over all just way too grabby. I've since gone with Ferrodo DS2500 pads and been much happier.

About the brake pads. I don't autoX. Just going off of my experience at the track. I'm also probing for more info from him.

The Official 370Z Autocross Thread

I've tried XP10/8 and the AX6 pads. Nothing is better than the stock Nissan pads FOR AUTOX in my opinion. The others put me in ice mode since they are too grabby and you're usually always trailbraking in autocross. That just freaks out the system in this particular car. PLUS the stock Nissan brakes are already great and the others just bleed off too much speed! I recently had to bleed my clutch fluid after the Blytheville ProSolo. Got a little squishy. Motul fluid is great but it doesn't last as long as the low temp fluids...at least that's my understanding and experience with it. Lasted about a year. |

I posted on FB to bring up the "370Z should be in STU" discussion again. If there's nothing in the works I'm probably going to sell. :/
Feel free to chime in to help move the 370 to STU. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2204...5523274274255/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Why not just go to ASP? I hear race tires are fun.

The purpose of the post is to find out what's going on. I'd hate to sell the Z for it just to be moved to STU in a year or so.

Looks like there will be an SCCA Town Hall webinar for STREET TOURING on June 6th. Register here to discuss the 370Z moving from STR to STU.

I was talking to a friend who owns an sti and he brought up the idea of giving the higher power coupes their own class. So essentially move the the z34, z33, corvette and maybe cayman to a supplement class of their own. I think that would be a good solution as well.

The real answer to all this is the argument: Currently in STU with no boost adjustment allowed, 350Z performance = STI and EVO performance Starting next year in STU with open boost, 350Z performance < STI and EVO performance and to return some parity to the class add the 370Z so that 370Z performance = STI and EVO performance

I sat through it. While the 370z classing wasn't a discussion point, classing was mentioned briefly. It was mostly to do with making ST more "all inclusive" so that it can act as a step between street and street prepared. The STAC and SEB members in attendance basically punted and said something to the effect of "if the membership wants this then we could look into it".
TLDR; sitting through it was a huge waste of time.
