That looked like a long *** course. A lot of fun though (get it, a LOT)

Will never understand why Wilmington courses have to be so damn long. A 60s course in a CS car is plenty long. Just because you can make a massive course doesn't mean you should.

I think average course length at our events in right around 50-60 seconds at our largest venues. |

It was .85 miles long according to my gps data. The problem imo wasn't necessarily the length as much as it was how it rewarded the cars with better low rpm hp/tq. You dip down to 23-35 mph 8 different times and accelerate, full throttle to 60 or higher. A normal Autocross it's maybe 1-3 times that happens. Also the start was a drag race start to 40 mph.

My comment about the length was more due to the flow of the event and the fact that IMO there's no reason the final heat should have been finishing ~7pm on Saturday.
It was pretty apparent though that the course designer was a CAM-S Corvette driver.

Haha. I was starter for 2nd heat. I sent them as quick as they (timing and course workers) could keep up with. About 18 seconds between cars. Loooong day for sure. But that's just how long it takes to send 360 cars. They should maybe stick to their 325 limit.
360drivers x 20sec/driver x 3runs / 60sec/min = 360min Then 15 min x 4 worker switch = 60min 30 min mid-day course walk ~45 min for delays and re-runs You're looking at about 8hr and 15 min once cars start rolling, which on sat was 9am. That puts us ending at 5:15 pm. Hmm what am I missing? Maybe the other starters weren't as aggressive as I was. If u change that "20" sec to "23", that adds an extra hour to the event. Crazy. Just a quick video my buddy took from outside the car, this was a for fun event last weekend. My car is starting to work pretty well overall, the r888 were not even close to getting up to temp this day. It was fun taming the beast non the less. Apologize for the video quality and the wind.

I've kinda asked this question before, but I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some new rims. Should I go 275/35/19 front 305/30/19 rears or try 305/30/19 all around. Either staggered nismo rims or rears all around. Planning to eventually go FI so I want 305s in the rear.

If you're modded is go 285/35 and 325/30 on nismo wheels. Get as much/sticky tire as you can get.. I run a stock class so I have to be within stock wheel specs

Thanks, now I just need to figure out if the Nismo rear rims with 305s will fit on the front and not rub, I have carbon fiber fenders so I can't pull them

Check the tire section, there's a guy running 285 up front and he's got a bunch of pictures. I don't think you'd want much wider.. 295/30/19 fit on stock wheels with Hoosiers so they may work
