Thanks for the compliment. I wasn't a big fan of STU running on the opposite course 1 heat after BSP ran. Really wanted to get over there and see you and the other 370z run but between taking the car back to paddock and getting some lunch before my work assignment it just wasn't going to happen.

SCCA solo doesn't need more classes. What they need are classes that don't have a clear "car to have".

My opinion has always been it's less a problem with the ruleset (there is room for improvement though) and more a problem with the classing of cars. There's simply too much of a difference in the way a miata handles and a larger car. Size and weight need to be considered more.

wasn't there a Dodge Neon ACR back in the day that completely dominated?

From what I've heard, yes the neons once were the car to have. Of course that was partly due to the large contingency prizes being thrown around. According to some in my region, it wasn't unheard of for the top drivers to make $10k+ in the neons.

With the new ProSolo rules, I'm now wondering if I should run the 370Z or the stick with the STI for STU. I haven't ran my Z in a Pro, yet. Wheel hop's a bitch. How stout are the axles in these things?

I haven't had any axle issues on mine with the big sticky HoHo's.

What to do before my first Autocross event
Going to be racing in my first autocross event may 8th at PBIR and wanted to get some opinions on how I should prep the car for the event (mods, maintenance, weight reduction, etc.) as of now I’ll be competing in the PBIR autocross league which has no class restrictions other than cylinder number, but I am planning on racing in SCCA autocross & time trial events in the next couple of months. My car has test pipes, cat back, CAI, custom ecutec tune, springs, wheel spacers, and a gutted trunk. I am planning on competing in SCCA BSP class but I’m not sure what other BSP legal mods I will need to be competitive and what tires I should be running.
