Thank's for the reply, I did not yet buy the odb2 module that plugs in right behind the dash. My friend bought a lot of these so I got one decently priced. I will be orderign the odb2 soon though and it is plug and play.
I still rather connect the RPM via the wire instead of odb2 based on refresh rates.... I will update again in a few days when I have time to finish things up. The GPS on this isn't the greatest, takes a few minutes to acquire a signal and it's best to have it outside the car..... might stick it on the hatch somewhere (magnetic) or just open the window and put it on the roof while at the track... |

Ron, sorry this was on the back burner, I did not tap into the rpm signal wire, I just ordered an obd2 Wire for the racepak, got lucky and found one on ebay for $280 just now, I still need to tap into the rpm signal wire.
I also bought a steering column upper cover so I can relocate my iq3 dash in front of the stock dash. Here's a quick chop I am removing it from the center cubby hole to here: Also ordered one of these: Haltech IQ3 Dash Mounting Bracket Black Anodized Aluminum HT06 800 MB IQ3 | eBay this bracket is very expensive through racepak, I found that one very cheap... or you can make your own. I won't be able to do all this until 1-2 weeks, have a time attack this weekend so getting the car prepped. |

There is an obd2 cable you can buy extra, or you buy sensors but they are VERY expensive $300-450 each.... RPM signal you just tape into ECU rpm wire, pin 110.
Just having issues getting the obd2 to read right now will have to send it to manufacturer. |
