Tracks?

So I've finally stopped lurking and actually registered so I can post on this forum. I've just recently purchased a 2011 370z (6spd) and I'm relatively new to this type of Vehicle. My father and I growing up were always into older Camaros and dabble in some Fords but those are a completely different realm. I really want to learn how to drive this vehicle on a track however I'm finding it difficult using my powers of Google to find a good instructor or track in my area. I'm active duty Army and currently in Drill Sergeant school here on Ft Jackson South Carolina so my time is very limited however when I graduate in a few weeks I should hopefully be able to squeeze a day off in here and there. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as a track or a good instructor/school?

First off thank you for your service.
There are several tracks not more than a few hours from you. I've only been to a few over there like VIR, Road Atlanta, and Barber but there are several more. The thread just a few down from this one has a Road Atlanta event in November. That should be a nice time of year to hit that track.

For driving instruction look to BMW CCA, Audi Club North America, and SCCA. Some of the other clubs offer instruction as well, e.g. NASA, Chin Motorsports, TrackDaze, Hooked on Driving, and MVP Track Time. You usually need to book at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance so they can figure out if they have enough instructors.

Just about all the major events are listed here:

It's an honor to serve. Thanks for the pointers! I'll have to look into those.

Seconded for CMP (Carolinas Motorsport Park). I drove there in my Z about 2 months ago. VIR would still be worth the trip for a weekend though!
