Help with Hoosier A6 sizing
Plan on going to a squared setup for AutoX next year with Hoosier A6's. Just need some help figuring out the right tire size. Plan is to do 295's on 18's, just not sure what height in order to avoid fitment problems. Currently I'm at stock ride height on my Nismo but will probably be doing coilovers in the future.
As far as I can tell 295/40-18 will be the closest to stock diameter at just 0.6" larger but is this too tall? |
What wheel sizes?
|
Well I was looking at a deal on 18x10 +30 and 18x11 +18 TE37SL's.
Considering I'm an idiot when it comes to wheel offsets, etc. I'm not even sure if these sizes will work for what I want. |
When I run Hoosiers, thats what I run. the smaller 18" Hoosiers are too short and make my car scrape the front end under braking. 275/40 is ideal, but they don't make that, only 275/35 which are too short.
This is the 295/40s http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...65923974_n.jpg |
I have a feeling you will rub

It's just a guess. I mounted 9.5 rim with 285 tires on 35mm. I barely had any room left. You might want to check with the hardcore guys to see what they are using. I don't want to see you waste money for nothing

I run 9.5 +46 with the 295s. They need a 5mm spacer to clear the inner control arm.
I also run 10 +34, they fit fine both inside and outside. |
I'd run 315 at least in the back. Learic runs square 295's on her CS 370. Doesn't seem to rub.
