Just finish parting out my old s2000 and looking for some custom shocks for scca autocross. What's out there and where are you getting them? I tried Vorslhag for AST, but they say they don't make them for the Z, I could have sworn someone has them. I contacted Performance shocks and they have to get back to me to see what's available. Does anyone have moton?

I have AST's but I think they're only available as a complete custom build. There is no off-the-shelf offering as a stock replacement for the Z. Also be prepared to wait a LONG time to get your shocks. Some people have reported waiting over 6 months for their shocks to come in.

FYI, AST and Moton are the same company now.

Yeah, Ast bought moton. On Moton's website there was a 370z application. Vorshlag is also a Moton dealer but made no interest in making a pair. I saw a post on another forum where Terry Fair of Vorshlag was making a set but did not seem too happy about it. I just thought they would have the specs and would not be that difficult.
AutoXZ, does your AST have reservoir lines or is it piggy back? I think i can get a set of Penske made and was thinking about going piggy back.

Forged Performance can set you up with JRZ. They carry everything from RS1s up to the quad adjustable racing dampers.

I called them three times concerning the JRZ, I'll just leave it at that.

No OTS penske's, but Guy Ankeny can make them for 350's (I assume the 370 is similar). If you have some fab skills you can also run some Ohlins LMJ's, but you'll have to make your own upper mounts, etc. I've driven Z's on Motons (mine), Ohlins LMJ's, double Koni's (mine), single koni's, and KW Cs's. I've also driven cars on Penskes, AST, etc. Honestly, of all the shocks/cars I've driven, Mike Brights 350z with custom Ohlins LMJ's was my "favorite". I also preferred the Custom 8300 penskes to my motons, but it was a toss up.

I've never driven a car on JRZ's...so can't comment there.

Guy actually made my 8300 for the s2k. Really care about his customers. But i know for sure Anze engineering have made and installed Penske for the 370. I send some pic of the stock shocks to Beau of PSI, if Ohlins is an option, sure he will mention it.

Had Penskes custom built by Anze Engineering. Took about 3 months for the build.

This is where I am. So far I have found MCS suspension to be able to do this for my b-street build. Somebody mentioned fortune auto but they did not follow up on my initial inquiry.

Note that i have not, but given the design, it cost way too much. Imo it isn't worth more than 3k USD. They are not Ohlins TTX or ILX shocks and are only single adjustable (rebound biased at that).
The normal Ohlins dfv shocks are not worth more than 3k regardless of custom spring rates. Also the suggested spring rates are a bit soft for anything north of spirited highway cruising.

If you have 4k dollars to spend, you shouldn't be getting anything less than 2-way adjustable dampers and a dual rate spring configuration (primary+secondary (tender/helper)) not a progressive dual rate spring with vague values.

I read somewhere that Aragosta use AST shocks. Also, Zeal can make custom sets, Function.com A for aluminum shocks.

I know mostly jdm which will be costly, but what I learned they are a high quality companies.
