Congrats. What is the requirement at NER for novice eligiblity?
I hate to burst your bubble, but you still need more time. You are going to get slaughter against some of the regulars..... |

That's exactly what I was thinking - I would no longer be competitive if I went into C Stock or even street tire class. Bubble is not burst -- it's just I have some people saying I shouldn't be in Novice anymore, and some people saying I should stick in there. I don't want to hustle my peers out of novice trophies, though

You are on the right track, you are already better than most people. After four events, I think I was still on the bottom of the standing.
RWD street tire class is probably a better place for you. The competition doesn't seem as strong and you are not running a 2 sec disadvantage when someone brings in slicks. I have run against some of the guys in that class. Good driver, but definitely beatable. |

I run the novice program for our region and the rule is 6 events or when I tell you to move on. Most people take themselves out of rookie before either of those conditions take effect.
If you've been at the top of the rookies for 2 events I would probably say you are ready to go play with the big boys. Continuing on in the novice class will help you some but I guarantee you will improve faster if you start comparing your results to more experienced drivers.

Thanks, all. Looking to get some Ventus R-S3s so maybe that would help my decision to leave novice

We usually kick people out of Novice after about 4 events, especially if they are doing well. I agree that facing up directly against your competition you are likely to learn even more, some are even friendly and will give you competitive advice
