Last session of the day and my rear end started making a high pitch whine under load. Took the car home and checked underneath, all looks normal. Decided to just give up and bring it to Z1 on tuesday, when I reversed for the first time all day and there is a bad knocking noise when starting in reverse, coming from the left axle.
However, taped up the wife's Z4 and will give that a shot tomorrow. Just got new tires for it friday too! ![]() Was going to take the new Stang, but the 235 tires on it are just too skinny! breakin isn't an issue cause its a 2 year lease.

Sounds like the rear end to me.

yeah, its not the trans. its definitely in the left rear half shaft, I just can't pinpoint which end.
The Z4 was fun today, while the factory brake fluid held out. Pedal started getting soft so I just did one session, but it was good.

it goes over a waxed surface fine and sticks real well. Its much better than painters tape.
