oem fuel pump power wire color?
Anybody know what color the oem fuel pump +wire color to splice into? I know its one of the 2 larger gauge wires but which one? Thought I be able to save some time instead of using a voltmeter while starting the ignition if anybody knows. Thanks!

I wish I could remember. Something in my head is saying pink, but I really don't know if thats the case or not. Looked back through some text messages with phunk, I triggered mine off the pink wire.

My Street Z has never so much as stuttered... And I don't want her to start. I'm looking very closely at this mod. Please pm me a price and I'll start thinking about tearing around my oh so mysterious fuel system.
Also, I'm considering going FI (supercharger) (about 500 whp). I know its been talked about extensively here, but will your base mod meet my need?

500whp is going to be near the end of the line with the typical configuration its sold in. On which side of that line I do not know for sure at this time. It should be within its capacity, but it will depend on a dozen other factors. If it falls short, it can always be upgraded with a second pump. |

I agree and I dont agree. On the street, there is nothing lost in coming out of a turn half a second later and a few mph slower. However, the problem is every bit as nasty on the street if you drive the car hard. I have yet to put my 370z on a track, and it was bothering me so much that I had to make this kit! Although, due to timing of it being completed, its still not even in my car!!! I still have the rest of winter to decide if I am keeping it or if I need a GT-R. GT-R is a bit heavy on price for me, would have to cramp my style in other places.

Half of the original batch made is still here in stock. Most of people on the pre-order list did not complete the transaction when the product was finally available. However, this was expected as the product price landed probably 25-35% higher than I think people were expecting. Unfortunately it is expensive to do tons of CAD work and run CNC machines for products of such low volume. 6 of them have been sold, 6 remain here.
After the last 6, I will determine if any more will be made. There will most likely be a second batch produced since all the ground work is complete. |

I have never seen it so common as it is on this forum. Most forums I am on, the price is no secret. I am not sure exactly what has driven it to that on this forum. Perhaps too many sponsors selling the same thing??

I do a lot of big sweeping rights while at 4 dots getting home from work. I have been known to do it in a spirited way, and I have heard of enough guys getting stuck looking for a gallon of gas to get off the highway shoulder!!!
Please Pm with PayPal info and I would love to get one of your overstock pieces! Also I don't track, but definitely will be soon. So, thanks for the input but I'm loving this mod. Thanks

phunk: don't lose hope on selling more of them. From what I've been seeing at HPDE's around here the past year or two, I really think the era of 370's at DEs is only just beginning. Earlier on the cars were all too new. Now there's more of them on the used market, and more owners comfortable taking a little more risk, more of them are second-hand, etc. A year and a half ago it was normal for my car to be the only 370Z I saw at an event, and now it's not uncommon to see 3-4 others the same weekend, although we're still outnumbered by the 350s.
Your part is a pretty elegant solution to a pretty serious design problem that every track 370Z driver will face over time, so you're pretty much guaranteed to sell these things I think. |
