3balls Racing track days

I've been meaning to post this for a while but haven't taken the time. Everyone in the Great Lakes/Midwest region should check out 3balls Racing.

By far the most fun club I've run with so far. Laid back group with lots and lots of track time and great people. Lunch and gatorade are always provided (and not always just pizza!) There are a lot of folks who camp out before events and between days. Rumor has it that's the best part.

If you have any questions about the club or any of the events post 'em up or PM me! Usually a Z or two at the events and almost always a great instructor who has had several years in a Z willing to help 'ya out.

The schedule right now is:
Mid-Ohio Monday 5/21/2012 $250 (only 17 people singed up right now! Will probably be more track time than you can handle!)

Waterford Hills Monday 6/11/2012 Just posted! Historic 1.5 mile track with some really fun elevation changes

GingerMan Raceway Saturday & Sunday 6/30-7/1/2012 Probably the safest track in the area... LOTS of runoff but still loads of fun with the new extension. Come camp with us!

Grattan Raceway Saturday & Sunday 7/28-7/29/2012 This track is a roller coaster! Lots of blind corners and elevation changes. A favorite for sure. This is a benefit weekend for Karmanos Cancer Institute and will include a charity auction with the highlight being a lifetime pass to any 3balls event.

Waterford Hills Monday 8/20/2012 Back to Waterford!

Grattan Raceway Saturday & Sunday 9/8-9/9/2012 Another camping trip to Grattan.

Mid-Ohio Saturday and Sunday 10/27-10/28/2012... Our first weekend at Mid-Ohio! 24 Hours of LeMon's loss is our gain. Our first opportunity for a full weekend at Mid-Ohio! Should be a complete blast.

Things that make 3Balls great:

1. Lots of track time
2. Free lunch!
3. Free Gatorade & Water to keep your head straight
4. More track time than you can shake a stick at
5. Camping and telling lies around a fire
6. Did I mention LOTS of track time?

Hmmmm.... that Monday May 21st is looking mighty inviting.

We are looking to do a shake down day and that could work nicely.
If only 17 cars show up...does the day still go on?

I 2nd the laid backness, it couldn't possibly have been more relaxed atmosphere. Although we were running open track with no students which helped

Yup. It's already paid for. That's part of why I posted the thread... registration seems pretty slow this spring and I wanted to spread the word. I think there is a referral program but I'm not too concerned.

Very serious about safety but easy going as possible otherwise.

Just a bump for GingerMan 6/30 - 7/1. We're running reverse on Sunday! It's a GREAT track for a first timer but still a lot of fun for everyone. Get some practice for when NASA runs in reverse!

I'd love to see more Z's out there. It's a short drive from Chicagoland and the Detroit metro area!

Bumpity bump. We raised over $10,000 for melanoma research in July!

The real reason for the bump is that we're only a few weeks away from Mid-Ohio and have some spots left. $275 for a single day and $450 for the wekend. Club course (with the bus stop) Saturday and Pro course Sunday for something a bit different. You'll get a whole crapload of track time both days and we're camping in the track which is always a blast.

Bump for 3balls. I'm considering signing up for the final Mid-Ohio day since the season is coming to a close up north.. we shall see.
