New Seat input
Looking go get a new seat for the NASA HPDE events. Nothing to over the top, just better then the OEM.
I came across this one: CPA1019 Black Cloth w/ Suede Insert & Red Outer Stitching Cipher Auto Racing Seats Pair [CPA1019FSDBK-R] - $399.00 : Cipher Auto!, Automotive Parts Accessories & Universal Racing Seats Any input would be great on this product. Thanks

I would stay away.. A seat can save your life in an accident! I would check out status or cobreau for some reasonably priced seats

That Cipher seat is most likely a major downgrade in terms of safety. There's no FIA certification, or DOT certification. It's not manufactured by any known company, and it looks to be cheaply made.
OMP makes several seats that would be a better option, and they've got a few that are close to that price point. In fact, the OMP Design 2 is cheaper OMP America That specific OMP seat isn't FIA certified, but at least it's manufactured by a company with a history in racing and known quality. If you really want to upgrade, I'd suggest looking at fixed-back bucket seats with FIA approval.

Corbeau: LG1 but I don't think corbeau are certified either. I can't do a fixed back though. I have an odd body. However, I think that with a proper 5 point harness and hans device, it definitely couldn't be worse than stock.
