17" Track Rims over Non-Sport Brakes

Track tires are WAY less expensive in 17" sizes and there is better variety. Anyone ever throw anything smaller than 18" on their car and have it work out?

If you track your Z just once you're going to become addicted. You're going to want better brakes than base soon enough, and then you'll be looking for 18s like everyone else.

Yeah. There are a pretty good number of 17s that fit. There's actually some good info on the maxima forums.

Thanks Guys. Yes, I'm an addict. I had Carbotech build XP14's for my nonsports and my home track is relatively easy on the brakes but is definitely tire-intensive.

Not a whole lot. Not sure exactly which maxima forum to look at and they're so poorly structured compared to the370z it was tedious. I think it's possible but it's all going to depend on the specific rim, and the ones I want to buy are used w/track tires from a forum member but he's too far away to test fitment. Couldn't find that style of wheel locally for a test fit. Putting RE11's on my 19's next week or so and running street class anyway so this is more of a long term project. I haven't worked out the logistics of getting them to the track, unlikely that I'll tow them, that just looks hairy.
