Default Track Day: Rear Brake Pads?

Hello all,

I am looking at my 1st track day in the Z and plan on making the following changes.

- SS Brake Lines
- Motul RBF600
- Front Camber Arms
- Carbotech XP8 pads on the front

My question lies in the rear brake pads. Can you track the Z on stock rear pads without issue. Or is that another MUST change?

Thanks so much!!

depends on the track. My very first track day in the 370 was at a short, brake intensive track. I had HP+ on front and stock rear and I wore all the pads down to the backing plates in the first 20 minute session. I would get XP8s for the rear too.

I currently run XP 8's front and rear with no issues. Great pads for street tires.
