Rationale behind pulling brake fuse for 7AT launch?
I've been reading the forum for tips on drag racing with the 7AT.
I understand that one of the main tips is to pull the brake fuse, but I haven't seen the explanation on why do this or what it is supposed to do. Could someone explain? |
The car has something called brake override (safety feature) where if you are on the gas and on the brake at the same time, throttle would cut down to a maximum of 15%. If you pull the fuse, you basically disable that feature and allow you to brake torque the car at the start

That's why I love this forum so much!! :icon17: Thank you sir for the explanation.

It works well when you pull the brake fuse . 1.832 60 ft times (7 AT)
|
you could wire a switch for the brake fuse instead. Make it a really bright lit switch too, just to remind you when the brake lights are off!

Or get a standard...
Sorry, can't resist... |
