that sounds like a win-win to me honestly...

yeah, I paid 20500 before taxes and its worth 19 a year later. Trade in is in the high 17s.

Assuming you keep going forward with this (looks like you are), let me know when these become available. They're one of the options I've been looking at, and timing/budget-wise I'd like to do my coilover upgrade sometime in the next month or two.

will do. As soon as the honda sells, I'll be starting to demod.

Pending Patrick and yourself. I may be interested in the trailor also. We'll see.

Sorry I wanna ask something out of topic. Are 350z parts expensive? How much do we normally need to pay to build a very decent 350z for track? Chassis set up, power mods, wheels tires, interior, etc.
From my own calculation, it will end up the same as building a 370z?

i was going to say, you probably could use it more than i honestly. it'd probably be overkill for what i need a trailer for (golf cart)

Wow, crazy.

Although the z class looks to be pretty cool.

Yeah but you can get a used 03-08 350Z pretty cheap these days compared to a used or new 370Z. More importantly it's a Spec series, which means you get a limited set of standard modifications and pretty much everyone on the track is running the same thing. Means you spend less time and money on car setup and more on driving :)

I've been talking to a local guy that builds custom trailers so that loading my car would be easy. It has 4'' drop spindle and 5' ramp. And the price he wants is a very good deal. But I know Mike's car is lower than mine with the Stillen clip and his works. If I could get a deal I'd be interested. The trailer world is funny business.

But it's your call pending what Mike wants. I still can't believe this though. I love your car Mike.

for now, I'm going to keep my trailer. I forgot that by selling the CRZ, I have a garage spot for the race car. And, If I were to sell the trailer, it would be around $5000, as I paid $6500 for it new two years ago and the design is no longer in manufacture. I got the last new one in the entire USA. Had to go to Langley VA to get it.

As far as setting up a 350 vs. 370, probably about the same. But since this is a spec series, the only thing I can do is HFC, Exhaust and a specific set of coilovers and sway bars, pretty much. Almost everything else needs to stay stock.

You can get an 03 for around 8000, and then another 6000 in cage, seat, suspension and other prep and you are done.

^ Man. That's an expensive trailer.

I'd also try to get a 350 with the uprev/ rev up (whatever it was) motor which would put you at a 06 model

HKYStormFront 02-13-2012 02:58 PM

yea that'd be 3-4x more expensive than the golf cart i'd need it for :bowrofl:

Actually the 07-08 HR motor would be the best. The 06 was only slightly better than 03-05 but the HR motor was the best motor for the 350z hands down.
