That's called serious passion.

sig11 01-09-2012 03:46 PM

We had 3-4 Canucks in our ZdayZ caravan year before last. I hear Z Nats is just as well worth it!

You should check out Great Lakes Z Club | News and events for the Great Lakes Z car club :) We have a meeting coming up pretty soon and just sat down and laid out a quick list of events for the rest of the year.

I've been to Lapeer a couple times. I didn't realize you were so close! I might have to take a little summer drive. :)

It isn't the smoothest strip but it is nearly deserted. When we had the first club outing there this fall we had 2 Z34s and a Z33 and a new SHO (Our president drives a 'vert and has no roll bar). I think I took 12 passes in 2-3 hours.

You should hop on our forum or take a look at our thread in the Midwest section once in a while. You would most definitely be welcome.

TheGreatOne 01-10-2012 11:15 AM

Hey Z Eliminator

Are you heading down with a bunch of Z's from Ontario?

Trying to get some Z's & G's from our Montreal VQ club to go this year. If we are low on members, maybe we can caravan down with you guys...

I hope to hit the strip too although I won't be putting down any fancy numbers but its still fun

Sharif@Forged 01-12-2012 09:39 AM

I will be there. Looking forward to the Barber Motorsports track portion. That's a treat!

laze1 01-29-2012 08:32 AM

ummm! Barber! what a fantastic track!! I will be there for sure...instructing and driving this time

me too, if my car doesn't break again :(

laze1 01-29-2012 08:49 AM

Knock on wood...but I have not had a "unforced" mechanical failure with the 350Z in 3 years of W2W racing.

Not a single DNS or DNF...

Excluding a "money shift" by my co-driver blowing the trick engine.

cdoxp800 01-29-2012 09:35 AM

I am going to be hitting the Barber Motorsports track portion myself.

That did suck. The smallest little thing at that.

Mike 01-30-2012 05:39 PM

I have had a string of bad luck.

Supercharged C6 at Little Talladega, electrical short first session, car had to be towed home.
First track event in Z, Znats two years ago at little Tally again, one session, wore the HP+ pads down to backing plates and scored the rotors in my first 20 minute session, first time I ever took it on a track.
Two weeks later at Road Atlanta, Fuel starvation and had to be towed off.
VIR with Forged Performance, first session, two laps in, oil cooler hose separated and I hit a tire wall.
Znats this year, the camber issue.

I'm pretty sure that that steering lock is going to fail at my next event.
