Get the helmet mount and put it on the right hand side of your helmet. Another forum member Spearfish uses this, he posted a couple videos from trackdays or autox, look them up to get an idea.

Unless you have a racing bucket and harness, your head will bounce pretty hard left and right. Outside shot without hands or telemetry are pretty useless as a driving tool too

I thought this might be the result. My camera did come with a helmet mount as well.

I like the rear mount so I can tell what happened later*. Two months ago I came off the track with three tires, not four. Without the video I would have never understood what actually happened.

* not the best cinematically.

Here's what I was talking about: http://www.the370z.com/track-autocro...ourse-mvp.html

I don't think the picture is that shaky.

Are there any others that we should know about ?

Thanks all :tiphat:

Just to Chime in,

I was at an HPDE at VIR a bit ago and an unfortunate guy in a mustang went into the wall. I talked to him afterwards. It was the first time he decided to get track insurance and he was VERY glad he did.

We actually found a company who offers single day track day insurance for HPDE style events and offered it to our students at Z Nationals. I think a 1-day, single event policy was around $150. I am sure there were other variables, but I know that is what one of our employees paid to cover his C5 Vette.
