I would just don't feel I'll get much use out of one yet. I do have three track days this year though. That could be worth right there.

to be honest, a half decent mount costs as much or more than the go pro. It is well worth it.

So how was your time in comparison to similar cars or even "better" cars? (nevermind... didn't read the whole thread lol)

Cool video though... definitely looks fun!

Spohn, I use a cheap flip camera (about $50) with a custom mount and window mount, total about $100. I just don't like the go pro cam as camera shots without seeing the steering wheel is not great learning tools...

SPOHN 09-15-2011 11:35 PM

That's true.

Wow man! I looked at all of the numbers... you crushed A LOT of other cars there. I would have thought the Evo's would have at least been close... very nice job 1 sec off of a GT-R too? Doesn't get much better... REPS!

You just have to figure out a mounting solution. You can use the rear glass but given how wide angle it is you end up with a lot of car interior in the shot and not much road.

This one has to be one of the best cameras out there, just expensive. Combine with an external mic it is great.

Thanks man. I was very happy with 5th overall behind some serious hardware.

Found the in-car video from the FTD car - the DSG 240RS Maxi. It has run events with Redline TA and GTA as well.

Amazon.com: Panavise 809 Camera Window Suction-Cup Mount: Camera & Photo

i got this one for my birthday after i lost my other one trying to make a cool video from outside my car. I learned that suction cups dont stick to small curves on a car. :ugh2:
