Do we have a set date for this? Kinda excited to hear the results... :stirthepot:

Pics/Vids will be taken yes??

Sibze 09-06-2011 09:48 PM

I really don't think it's going to happen. It's to close to my move! The girlfriends rents are coming to see the place

P.S I was never actually asked. I found this thread like a week after it started lol

b1adesofcha0s 09-06-2011 09:53 PM

Maybe he never intended for you to be driving your own M3, but then you somehow discovered this thread so he thought it was ok. :icon08:

Give it to Canadian Stig (if such a thing exists) and he will race it for you.

Sibze 09-06-2011 09:54 PM

I am the stig

b1adesofcha0s 09-06-2011 09:58 PM

By revealing that you have only secured your fate. You will now be killed off and then replaced with a Drug who is a better driver :p

The real Stig would choose racing over anything else.

No problems if he can not make. Can not ask for a better person who helps me at the track.

My point was, once you add exhaust components on, the G3 gains shrink...

so any update on this showdown?

VQStryker 09-14-2011 05:30 PM

When is it goin down OP? been on the bench for a while.

b1adesofcha0s 09-14-2011 05:32 PM

Gonna have my showdown with an M3 on September 30th. It's my friend's first time going to a drag strip so I don't think the results will mean anything :p

If I win it will be mostly due to his inexperience. I'm still a beginner too, but it's a lot easier to drag race in an automatic (my Z) than a manual (his M3) :icon17:

my money is on you as long as he is stock... but BMW's launch a bit easier than our cars...

I saw a video of a DCT m3 with LTH, pulley, intake, tune, exhaust go 11.8@118, they are very capable cars but stock they are really dumbed down obviously... My buddies car would of ran no faster than 12.9 ran perfectly (6M e92M) .... My car from a roll was a mid 12 second car's speed for sure and it showed against him on all roll speeds... from 70 or higher we would be pretty much even but no matter the speed I would pull atleast a few feet, and a car or two from 5-10 rolls.

my gearing helped me out a lot I'd imagine but I am not really sure

Im really angry i never got back to the track because I would of went 12.5ish... the 109 trap in 100 degree weather when 4 other Zs went with me barely trapping 101 showed my car was DEF way faster than stock and the da was 3100... drop that to the 400 da's we are seeing now and pull a 1.8 60ft (very do-able with ET Streets I had ) and a 109mph trap would get me a 12.4 and thats if I didnt pickup a mph or two from 60 degree cooler air.

I will be going with my 135i in the next few weeks before winter comes and I will be shooting for a 12.2 or better... with just 1500 into it (new jb4, Used Downpipes and Exhaust , race fuel on the race gas map, and Drag Radials) ... the n54 motor is insanely tunable and easily made into a straight line beast. I will be getting a Meth kit for the car that will drop me into the 11s once everything is dialed in.. its a shame the Z isnt turbo'd from the factory because I would still own it and prob keep it forever.

Will do! Don't know if it will happen on the 30th though, my friend said he might be home late from a work trip.
