Nitrous Problems

Someone please help!!!!!!

So I went to the 1/8th mile track tonight. Just motor 8.9*** and 8.3** with 75 shot of dry nitrous. Well this week I upgraded to a 150 shot wet nitrous and ran a 8.8**. Can anyone please explain This to me!?!?!?!? Jets sizes are .24"Fuel and .43"no2" and yes I tap my factory fuel rail. I should be running at least 7.5ish.

1/8 mile isnt a long enough run you should try 1/4 mile track to get the full benafit of the N2O Kit....Just a thought....

Dude you need larger diameter hoses to supply more nitrous upgrading your cylinder will not make you move faster just longer they all still contain same amount of pressure
Plus a larger valve so it can open more come on dude its common sense.
And remember nitrous will destroy your engine like 500 times faster than a reg pull

Those jets are closer to a 75 shot. What type of nitrous kit are you running? I'm running an NX kit with 54N 33F and its rated at 125 shot. Also have you dynoed the car on the spray? Also make 100 percent sure you put the jets in the correct place.

You are right but remember I have two intakes. 75+75=150

DUDE forget the crap that it came with am telling you RUN FATTER HOSES from your tanks and if needed instal larger opening valves you will flood yore engine with noz also if its wet you need larger opening injectors and if you want moooore power buy those electric boosters that will force air in, just because they only work for a short time its perfect for boost, wire it all to your NOZ release button and then your ballz WILL relocate in to ur A.S.S.-H-O-L-E

P.S. You might blow your engine I dont know but try LOl:tiphat:

Ahh ok wasnt sure if you split the jetting between the intakes or not. You could be running really rich. I would try and check your a/f ratio. Also did you double check your jets to make sure they are in the right spot? How does it feel when the nitrous kicks in?

Are you running colder plugs? and did you set back your timing? a 150 shot is a lot lol

That's an untrue statement. A car not properly tuned to run nitrous will ruin your engine. This is true for all FI cars not just nitrous.

Nitrous gets such a bad rep because of all the damn folk tales and uneducated users/non users.

Colder plugs are in need but really he needs to have some timing pulled. To be honest, I'm surprised his motor didn't let go if he's on stock tune/timing.

I ran a 100 shot but thats with a tune. Currently only on the 75 shot as I'm looking to go 125 when I get my new tune.

Ive actually sprayed ALOT on my N/A tune(advanced timing) but I was lucky. I would say just limit the use until he gets some timing pulled.

I've run many many bottles thru my VK56 motor and I still have original trans and engine. 123K and going.

Preflight your system always checking that the solenoids open and close.

When I juiced the first few times the truck fell on its face. I found that when I went to 80shot on my VK it was the best for all around performance. I ran a 125 and 150 shot and only ran .1 faster. However I will tell you after I added headers I could gain better times on the 125 shot.

I'm peeking into forums to see what the VQ37VHR is capable of on juice. I've modded my VK to the max and looking for a 2door car in the next year.
