GTM TT 11.73 @ 122.59 1/4 pass

I drove Billys car down the drag strip, It's GTM stg2 tt. He car is touring/sport/navi stock suspension and on the RE-11's
The car is a total animal at the big end, quiet tough getting it out of the hole but still 1.9 60 ft i fell is quiet good being that its on street tire and has about 450hp.

Nice. You covered it all... needs moar traction. :D

chuckd05 05-22-2011 09:48 PM

what was in the other lane? Great example of what a good 60 will do for your car... a 105 trap and a 12.6!!

I want to try out your track lol

He was only a few tenths beyond you at the 1/8 but you gained A LOT up top

It was a truck with slicks, I ran against it too. I think Billy posted a video of the 11.7 run.

And yes PBIR is a sticky track... usually.

This is good to see our FI brothers getting their cars out to the track!

Get some slicks on that sucker so we can bring that ET down. :yum:

Red__Zed 05-23-2011 09:05 AM

Nice! Not a bad run at all

Billy02987 05-23-2011 12:35 PM

Here's a video of the run. It's from an iPhone so it's not the best.

Thanks guys, if I ever get my wheels from VIP status I'll be putting slicks on the stockers!

JB-370z 05-23-2011 08:59 PM

I noticed you blowing fire balls out the exhaust. NICE!

Mark Gomez 05-23-2011 09:19 PM

Can the stock diff and axles handle that kind of power with slicks? i am not so sure it can.

I would imagine something would break after a few hard runs.

B.A.Q 05-25-2011 02:14 AM

Can someone give some info on the axles like whats the max torque they can handle with slicks. The can take until 450 with street tires right?

and which axles should a FI Z get if doing some serious tracking and or drags?

docaam 05-25-2011 03:21 AM

niceeeeee

Too many variables, it depends how hard you launch it( i would break it lol), how sticky the track is. I have a little over 100 pass on my car with many many 1.8 60 fts which is very hard on the axles and no problems YET?!?:driving:

6MT 05-25-2011 09:53 AM

Nice ET & speed. Congrats!

B.A.Q 05-26-2011 01:26 PM

Just to have an idea for the future maybe. How much will it cost me to replace the axles with ones that will have a longer life with that kind of driving?

da mayor 05-26-2011 01:32 PM

great run... i wanted to see how the GTM stage 2 held up

Footloose301 06-04-2011 06:55 AM

That's awesome. I can't wait to see this car in person.
