official 1/4 mile track times

Well I went to the track for the first time last night. I was pretty impressed first run was my best with a 13.69. I was going to be happy just being in the 13s. My friend was saying I would be lucky in the 14s being my first time. He was pretty pissed how quick I ran. Ive got a lot to improve. Ill post up my slips in a bit. I did beat on a WRX pretty good so that made me happy.

Last year my 350z was completely flooded(total loss). I decided to buy my car back from the ins. comp. & re-wire it. After many changes/much work(not by me

, I'll see tomorrow if it's race worthy, if it doesn't break down

I'll be running my street conti tires & of course it has no tune. I'll be happy if I get a few runs in & am able to drive home. As far as times???? With those tires I'll pop the clutch a bit above idle

& see if I can break 13.5 @ 105.

I'll post results late Sat. Weather should be nice.

OK, first run I heat up the tires, leave the line a bit above idle. Little spin & spun after shifting second. Results, 2.079 60' & 13.505 @103.70 mph. Not bad considering. Second run I wanted to shift & leave the line at higher RPM. Heavy spinning at start. After shifting into second I had to immediatly shift into third. because I completely spun the tires & RPM went up breaking up the engine & never mind..... No time slip was given to us.
Third and last run, even after much heating them. still heavy spinning start & again spinning second produced a 2.254 60' & a 13.732@102.88 mph.

So???? My drag tires + Osiris tune, maybe a muffler & racing at Raceway park & or Atco should get me into the high 12's. Will I be able to do mid twelves again?????

As much as I like my 08 350z, I post here & would love to be part of the 370z drag enthusiast team. For anyone that has owned an HR 350 knows that its not so easy to let go.
Believe me, I know how owesome Jason's 12.2 1/4 mile time is, but I would love trying for it.........
